Iran Trade Promotion Organization:

http://www.tpo.ir/English.htm
Development of economic and commercial relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with different other countries is one of the major tasks of "Iran Trade Promotion Organization". Due to the implementation of various economic, social and cultural plans during the recent 15 years, country's capabilities indicated a rapid growth in industrial, mining, agricultural and commercial sectors. Introduction of these capabilities especially in the field of non-oil export would help and encourage large number of foreign tradesmen, craftsmen and commercial institutes to properly enhance their trading relation with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, strides have been made to furnish all the interested parties and enthusiasts with remarkable information concerning some of the country's economic sectors. Developing non-oil export, supporting export-oriented institutions, lifting entangling bottlenecks and obstacles, investing in industrial and manufacturing units for their products enjoying a permanent exportable market, conducting marketing programs, expediting commercial boards to abroad and holding international trade fairs are all but a few worthy efforts made in this endeavor. Accordingly, Iran's non-oil export in addition to the services exports amounted to $ 8 billion showing a 3 times increase vis-à-vis that of the year 1997. For the time being, Islamic Republic of Iran has established economic/trade ties with more than 160 countries and the number of exportable products exceeds 20,000 items. During the first years of revolution, export of agricultural and traditional products constitutes more than 90 % of Iran's non-oil export while today this trend has been changed so that the export of industrial commodities covers 60 % of the country's export value. The country has also made rapid strides to yearly increase the export of services particularly the export of technical and engineering services. Our capable companies competing international reliable ones have succeeded in executing different technical and engineering projects in Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and many other parts of the world. ITPO will continue to develop and improve its services, programs, and facilities so as to secure its position as one of the trade promotion organizations in the world
